 THE BURDEN OF A PROPHET

1.0     Introduction

In real life there is no profit without sacrifice. No champion without encounter; no eternity without posing through fire; no freedom without battle; no peace without war, no salvation without cross.

It is very interesting and well honoured to be called “a prophet; but little is known to some people the cross, pains, grieves, sorrow and notorious encounters that prophets pass through hence this piece of writing is to briefly highlights few burdens borne by the prophets in fulfilling their ministries and calling.

1.1     Background of the Study

In viewing the ministry of the prophets and the problems encounted by prophets from ancient day till now. It is time that many called as of this office have been scared, abandon and even flee away like Jonah in the Bible so as to escape from the hot wounds of sorrow bored by the prophets. This project is therefore necessary to highlights the future prophets of the God’s packages and rich store house of power to sustain the prophet and backed them up to fulfill their calling. The mandate is from the Almighty God and he has solution to all situations.

1.2     Statement of the Problem

There is need to arouse the interest of future prophets that no mountain is bigger than God, no ocean is mightier, deeper and wider than God. The one who has the mandate has what it takes to sustain the scarcity of prophets in our generation due to the fact that no one want to face, waters, Jezebel, altars and power. This is settled by the divine word of victory of the called prophets.

Therefore our generation prophets need to understand that the fourth man in the fire is still available today.

1.3     Purpose of the Study

The purpose of this study is to emphasize that there is need to encourage future prophets to put up the courage of Elijah, Shedrack, Meshach and Abednego and be ready to overcome their obstacles and prepare their minds for total victory over prophetic obstacles of our days.

1.4     Significant of the Study

The significant of this study is to show that church in particular and humanity in general that no significant impact will be made as a successful prophets in this dispensation to rescue the dying souls and watch over the nation if men of God of our days run away from the ministry of the prophets probably because of the horrible experiences of prophets. The God of Elijah is still the God of today therefore covetousness into the prophetic office is highly encouraged.

1.5     Research Methodology

Both the primary and secondary research methodologies will be used to truly gather enough information, data for analysis. Interviews will be conducted to prone prophets in churches as well as gathering information from church bulletins and other publications.

1.6     Scope and Limitation

The scope of this study is the prophetic ministry in the church and it is limited particularly to the prophetic Ministry of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries.
